Literatura i rytuały (Jacek Wójcicki)
The edition entitled Literature and rituals gathers works which are the fruit of interdisciplinary deliberations on codified liturgy and para-liturgy in occasional and applied texts. Much space has been devoted here to the ceremony – both organised around a centre of metaphysical debate from a religious perspective, as well as distanced from the traditional sacred, or even directed more at values closer to the profane or those operating only within the latter.
Articles collected in the tome are also a record of observations related to social phenomena other than religious or spiritual ones, the linguistic (but not only those) manifestations of which (in traditional or contemporary media) can be recognised in the category of a ritual that has an influence on the changes that take place in reality. The current series of Napis (Inscription) also touches on issues of the meaning of ceremonies, their relationship with the word, the levels of ritualisation of life or death, which helped in getting to know and understand more completely the socio-cultural human behaviours linked to the phenomenon of rituality, numerous and important traces of which can be found in literature and culture.
